LHAASO
Data Description
The LHAASO experiment produces some types of data including raw data, simulation data, reconstruction data and GRB data. The raw data is classified into physics data and calibration data.
The physics data is consisted of events containing the electronic signals acquired from the detector, and the calibration data is obtained by the task of calibrating the detector which is performed periodically.
The simulation adopts Monte Carlo technology to generate simulated data in according to theoretical physics model. Simulation data is wildly used in detector design and physics analysis.
The reconstruction is the computing process to seek the physics information such as energy and position from electronic signals in raw data or simulation data, and produces reconstruction data which is as input for physics analysis.
The GRB data is produced by a special observation mode for gamma-ray bursts with all single counting signals are recorded into disks. This observation mode has taken data from June 1, 2019, on average once a week, and the duration of each observation is about 2.5 hours with nearly 2.5TB data produced.

Data Access Policy
The ownership of the LHAASO experiment data belongs to the LHAASO Collaboration. Only the member of the LHAASO experiment, also called a collaborator, has the right to access the data listed above. Physicists, engineers, and graduate students who have made contributions to the LHAASO experiment are eligible to be members.
The LHAASO collaboration is consisted of institutions around the world based on the memorandums signed by relevant departments of different countries. The collaboration governance rules clarify the responsibilities, rights, and benefits of the collaboration members. Each collaboration member has equal rights. The LHAASO governance structure consists of Spokespersons, the Executive Board (EB), the Institutional Board (IB), and the Collaboration Meeting. One Spokesperson and Co-spokesperson are elected to represent the Collaboration to manage daily scientific research activities, release major scientific research progress, coordinate the relationship with national funding agencies, strive for research funding, and coordinate cross-domain research activities.
The LHAASO resources including scientific data are open and shared in a hierarchical mode. The formal members of the collaboration have the rights to access all the experiment data freely and equally. The association members invited by the collaboration in formal ways have rights to access the relevant experiment data and publish relevant results. The indirect members can only use the primary results published by the LHAASO, and need to carry out the further research with the LHAASO collaboration, and only part of experiment data are open to them. The formal members must undertake service work such as construction or operation. The association members can undertake less service work. The indirect members don’t need to undertake such kinds of these service work. New member needs to pass the review of the collaboration. Data Analysis Software
The LHAASO Offline Data Processing Software Framework is to process experiment data acquired from the detectors and Monte Carlo simulation on high performance computing platform. The Data Processing Software Framework is core of the offline data processing software system as well as application design and development platform. To meet the requirements of the LHAASO experiment data analysis, LodeStar developed by the Shandong University works as a light-weight data analysis framework, which can solve various problems in LHAASO data analysis.
